Similarly, ingesting alcoholic drinks helps those carcinogens enter your oral tissues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sun Exposure Levels <\/strong>\u2013 Too much time in the sun can cause cancer in your lips.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Learn Its Typical Symptoms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Though oral cancer can be life-threatening, its symptoms often make it resemble less severe issues. That means you should always take the relevant signs seriously. These include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bleeding sores on your lip or inside your mouth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lumps or thick patches in your mouth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Difficulty chewing or swallowing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Numbness, pain, or tenderness on your face<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rough or crusty areas on your lips or gums<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loose teeth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">See a Dentist for an Oral Cancer Screening<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can\u2019t simply diagnose yourself with oral cancer, even if you know its risk factors and signs. You\u2019ll need to see a dentist (or another trained doctor) for a proper screening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The oral cancer screening process is simple enough to grasp. First, your dentist will have you rinse with a cleansing solution. They\u2019ll then use their tools to assess your mouth closely.
