Dental Checkups & Cleanings

Safeguard Your Smile

Woman with healthy smileBrushing and flossing are absolutely essential to your smile and oral health, but unfortunately, they simply aren’t enough to meet all of your dental needs. Your teeth have many hard to reach surfaces your tools at home aren’t designed to clean, and these areas can accumulate plaque that eventually leads to cavities. In order to keep your smile looking and feeling great and free of preventable problems, Dr. Alan DeAngelo recommends that everyone should have at least two dental checkups and cleanings per year. Dr. DeAngelo has literally performed thousands of these treatments over the course of his career, giving him the knowledge and experience to ensure that your smile will stay healthy and strong for many years to come.

How a Checkup and Cleaning Works

These appointments work a little differently at our office, and it’s all to your benefit! When you come in, you’ll first start by talking to one of our extremely knowledgeable hygienists who will do a pre-exam as well as take a few x-rays. Dr. DeAngelo will then come in and perform his own exam, looking for a wide variety of dental issues or signs that one might develop in the future. The two will then work together to form a diagnosis and come up with your personalized treatment plan. From there, they’ll discuss your treatment options and perform a thorough cleaning.

Very few practices take this integrated team approach to preventive care, but Dr. DeAngelo understands that two heads are usually better than one, and trusting his team gives our patients access to even higher-quality care that can make a big difference over time.
