Dr. Alan R. DeAngelo graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a BS in biology. Naturally, he continued to pursue a career in dentistry and went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in Dentistry and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. But Dr. DeAngelo fostered a love for marine life in undergrad, and is still an active member of a non-profit freshwater conservation organization to this day!
A true life-long learner, Dr. DeAngelo keeps his dental skills sharp by attending advanced training courses for various treatments. So far, he’s completed rigorous courses in esthetic dentistry, implant dentistry, endodontics, occlusion, neuromuscular dentistry, and prosthodontics. Dr. DeAngelo is also very passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest treatment methods and technology in the field. He is certified in Invisalign and laser dentistry, and uses the iTero digital Impression system to provide his patients with a more comfortable treatment experience.
Since 2008, Dr. DeAngelo has been recognized as a Top Dentist by the Consumer Research Council and was honored with the Top Doc Chicago Award. He feels incredibly grateful for these acknowledgements, and is proud to have earned his patients’ trust and respect with high-quality dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. DeAngelo enjoys spending time with his wife, Sylvia, and their two children. His other favorite pastimes include reading, writing, fishing, boating, shooting sports, and, of course, taking care of aquatic animals. I have been coming to Dr DeAngelo for well over 30 years. Not only is he knowledgeable in his field he cares about each and every patient in his care. Although all my children are grown Dr DeAngelo was their dentist as they were growing up. No matter what’s going on with your teeth he knows the solution and guides you through the process.
